The Limerick duo have added another string to their plastic bags in a collaboration with Russell Brand on a version of the Blur song âParklifeâ. The British celebrity was inspired to do the tune after a TV tĂȘte-Ă -tĂȘte with Newsnight presenter Evan Davis went viral.
Meanwhile, Eminem has sparked quite an amount of outrage and publicity for lyrics on his new track âSHADYXV â THE CXVPHERâ, in which he uses the term âdykeâ and also raps âPlay nice? Bitch, Iâll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twiceâ.
And finally, a word for the late Henry Jackson, aka Big Bank Hank of the Sugarhill Gang, who has passed away at the age of 57 after a battle with cancer. Jackson was among those providing words on the first ever rap hit, âRappers Delightâ, in 1979.
Tickets for the MTV Crashes Cork events were made available yesterday, with British soul singer Jessie Ware topping the bill for a gig with dance outfit Gorgon City at the City Hall on November 27.
