Our readers’ best pictures of working life in Ireland
Following the success of Irish photographer Ross Magrath in the CBRE Urban Photographer of the Year competition, we asked our readers to submit their best shots of themselves or someone they know at work.
Ross's winning photo, 'Alley Check', shows a restaurant worker sitting on a doorstep while working.

The photos we have received in response are breathtaking.
Images of working life in Ireland

"A welder making Stoves in Yola Stoves in Wexford."

"Every Autumn, part-time farmer Noel Donnelly drives his cattle home from summers grazing on Abbey Island in Derrynane, Co. Kerry. The drive is over three miles, along Derrynane Beach and through the water until they get to the village of Caherdaniel."

"These three guys study, play, and teach music. They write as well, both as a band and independently. This was taken a year ago as they busked outside a music store in Cork City. As you can see it shows a child giving money, supporting the Arts."

"Not your typical job."

"This photo captures a local street artist, taking a break from his work, juxtaposed against the backdrop of the bustling English Market."
