Irish photographer among winners in one of the world’s biggest photography competitions

Ross Magrath, an electrical engineer from Dublin living in the UK, was the winner of 06:00 hours category in the CBRE Urban Photographer of the Year competition. His entry, 'Alley Check', depicts a restaurant worker sitting on a doorstep while working.

The theme of the competition was Cities at Work and photographers were asked to capture the essence and reality of the working life of a city.

The winners were selected from 11,500 entries from 79 countries – making it one of the largest photography competitions in the world.

More of Ross's photography can be found on his Flickr page.
