Irish bidder bites for €75,000 Big Apple

A winning bid of €75,000 proved to be the most successful sale at Morgan O’Driscoll’s online art auction, which ended last Monday evening.

The Big Apple New York by de Kooning attracted huge attention with bidders from 15 countries online at one stage.

The painting saw a flurry of 127 bids before being eventually knocked down to an Irish bidder for €75,000.
