Thom Yorke has also been on the release trail, and the surprise issue of the Radiohead singer’s solo album Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes has been praised by the CEO of BitTorrent as the “absolute gold standard for how to do something direct-to-fan on the internet”. It’s the first time the internet torrent company has used its paygate, where users download the album and then pay €4.75 to unlock the files.

The Nick Cave documentary 20,000 Days On Earth has been getting the thumbs up from fans, and the Australian singer also has plans for a solo European tour in the spring. No Irish dates have been announced yet, but hopefully something will materialise in the coming months.
