Book: The Assassination Of Margaret Thatcher

WHAT a pleasure it is to read Hilary Mantel’s prose. She has an easy, conversational style that grabs you from the first sentence and pulls you quietly along to the last. For readers who loved her recent Booker-winning novels, Wolf Hall and Bring Up The Bodies, the style of The Assassination Of Margaret Thatcher will certainly not disappoint.
This selection of 10 short stories, of which the title offering is the last and longest, have that same tone and feel. However, those who prefer their short stories to conclude with a clever twist may well feel a little short-changed.
