Percussion pistols are among the highlights of Cork auction

Highly collectible militaria among the main draws at Hegarty’s auction in Bandon, says Des O’Sullivan.

AN Irish Georgian side table and a cased pair of percussion pistols are among the highlights at Hegarty’s auction in Bandon at 4pm tomorrow.

There are about 20 items of highly collectible militaria as well as some fine Irish furniture in the sale. The side table is estimated at €3,000-€5,000, the pistols by Josh Egg, Haymarket, London at €4,000-€6,000.
