The comedy has now tied Frasier as the all-time sitcom champ with five statuettes.

It’s the fifth year in a row the hit series has bagged the big prize.

And it was a night of records with Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston win for best actor in a drama series putting him on par with four-time best drama actor champ Dennis Franz.

The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons, aka Sheldon Cooper, was crowned as best comedy series actor, giving him his fourth Emmy and putting him in league with all-time sitcom winners Kelsey Grammer and Michael J Fox.
