The Supremes legend could be set to “do a Dolly” and take centre stage in the Sunday afternoon legends slot on the Pyramid Stage, according to The Sun, where Dolly Parton wowed crowds this summer.

The 70-year-old’s hits include Ain’t No Mountain High Enough and I’m Coming Out, and would be certain to draw huge crowds if she does join the line-up for 2015.

Diana is said to be in talks at the moment and a source said: “Glastonbury bosses were thinking it was going to be impossible to top Dolly. But now it looks like they will get Diana Ross, which will be incredible.

“It won’t be cheap but she’s worth every penny. She still tours around the world and puts on a fantastic show.”

Music legends to wow Glastonbury crowds in the past include Shirley Bassey, Brian Wilson, Johnny Cash and Kenny Rogers.

Diana’s close friend Nile Rodgers said recently: “Diana is one of my greatest friends and she is an incredible performer. I know she’d love to feel the vibe and the love from any festival audience.

“Sure, she’s a diva. But I absolutely love divas because they care and are passionate about what they do.

“I once saw her being told she was singing flat and she stormed out of the studio and went to France for two weeks – she says she doesn’t remember that happening.”
