There's a new app that cat-lovers everywhere will love

Cat lovers around the world will soon have something to dig their claws into with this new app Cat Match, which gives them the chance to run a simulated Cats Protection Homing Centre.

The free app was launched by charity Cats Protection and enables users to take the reins on opening their own cat rehousing establishment, learning the ins and outs of feline care.

The simulated homing centre lets you look after as many kittys as you’d like (with the help of a virtual vet) by playing the various games and puzzles within the app.

The more you play, the more levels you unlock, and you’re able to improve and expand your homing facilities, allowing for more cats to be taken under your wing.

The Match-3 game ensures the essential items including food, bedding and medicine are available for your virtual animals, after you match three icons in a row.

Rasoul Hudda, Cats Protection’s creative designer, said: “The app is a simple and fun game that gives people an insight into life at a cat homing centre.

“We hope cat lovers will find it of interest and encourage them to adopt one of the many thousands of unwanted cats in Cats Protection’s care.”
