See the bizarre way this dog was put up for adoption
The German Shepherd-cross was found in a scrapyard near Watford in Hertfordshire. According to the Dogs Trust, she was locked inside a windowless vehicle with a sign around her neck reading “I’m Valerie and I’m six months old, take me too”.

Valerie’s rescuers took her home for a night to check she was okay, and have since moved her to Dogs Trust Harefield to help find her a new home.
She comes highly recommended by Sian Fairle, supporter relations officer at the centre: “Valerie has had a pretty rough start to her short life, but this hasn’t knocked her happy-go-lucky nature. She is a typical puppy who loves everyone and everything.”
