Robert Pattinson: Auditions are petrifying
The Twilight star admitted that although he battles anxiety when he is auditioning for parts, he has mastered the nerve-wracking meetings about roles by becoming âa bullshit artistâ.

He told The Guardian: âIâm quite good at doing meetings. If Iâm just meeting someone about a job Iâm like a dog, especially if my agentâs said to me, âA lot of people want this job.â Then Iâm like, âOh yeah? Then I will do anything to get it!ââ
Quizzed about his technique, the heartthrob laughed: âI donât know, I just become a bullshit artist! Thatâs when I start acting! Iâm really much better at doing it when the cameras arenât rolling.â
R-Patz admitted he goes through 45 minutes of âneurosesâ before the actual auditions begin.

âI just canât⊠I literally canât do it,â he continued. âItâs just me looking uncomfortable, trying to put on an American accent⊠Or sitting in the corner, making myself throw up and punching myself in the face.â
The 28-year-old actor, who has worked with David Cronenberg and stars in David Michodâs dystopian thriller The Rover, also revealed that starring in the Twilight films as vampire Edward Cullen was probably his most challenging role to date.
âI think Twilightâs probably the hardest part Iâve done, because to do it for five movies, itâs really hard to think of stuff thatâs maybe not boring. Especially if you donât die,â he said.
âBecause whatâs the drama? Youâre not scared of anything! And thatâs the whole essence of drama: life and death.â
