Atomic Attic is the Etsy home of Miles and Aimee Harrison and it’s the cat’s pyjamas.

Vintage suitcases and train boxes are turned into sophisticated pet perches, while clunky old Mac Monitors are dusted down and gutted creating perfect cat caves. The suitcases are reupholstered with funky fabrics and polished, polished, polished, these people must use more Silvo then the Queen’s cutlery drawer. A quirky combination of cats, vintage and upcycling.

When someone’s got a blog entry called Fabulous Freebies from the Dump, we know we’re on to a winner. Anne’s blog charters her adventures fixing up her1930’s cottage bungalow. “Decorating, building, furniture makeovers, painting and creating art on a budget” — this is a lovely site to get some ideas for your own space. We love the fact that her bathroom is her nemesis and also her idea of using floor paint instead of tiles. Quirky touches like using a necklace for a tie back for the shower curtain makes this an interesting one to bookmark.
