LIKE the narrator in his latest novel, The Ballad of Mo & G, Billy Keane regularly visits his famous father’s grave and talks to him. The son of playwright, John B Keane, Billy Keane says he knows “it sounds a bit corny but I always feel that I don’t walk in my father’s footsteps”.

“Rather, he walks beside me. I go to his grave and maybe he’s talking to me or I’m imagining it. Anyway, I kind of feel his wisdom is there for me”.
