Pair of chandeliers starting at €4,000
Old Irish glass, an Irish silver dish-ring; a Cork silver bon bon dish; Waterford Crystal; antique furniture and art, all come under the hammer at Woodward’s auction in Cork on Wednesday, April 16, at 6pm.
Feature lots include a pair of Waterford cut-glass chandeliers (€4,000-€6,000); a Chippendale dining table and eight chairs (2,000-3,000); an Irish silver dish-ring by Edmond Johnson, Dublin, 1893 (€1,500-€2,500), and a Cork silver dish by William Egan (€300-€500).
The sale offers a seasonal selection of garden furniture, including a cast-iron seat (€1,000-€1,500), a stone statue of Venus (€250-€350), and garden urns and planters.
There is a selection of Waterford Crystal and old Irish glass.
Furniture on offer includes a Georgian bureau bookcase (€600-€1,000), a Victorian bow-front chest of drawers (€300-500); a Georgian mahogany card table (€800-€1,200) and an inlaid chaise longue (€400-€600).
Art on offer includes work by Fergus O’Ryan, Gretta O’Brien, and four copper panels depicting scenes of fire-fighting in Cork, by GM Kelly.
