I was a shy child. I’m still shy. I do my talking on stage.

I may be nervous before I perform, but once I’m out there, people see a different side to me.

I wasn’t academic and I had difficulties in school. I’m not from a musical family at all. I always loved to sing but didn’t have any confidence, I was hidden behind my mother’s hip. When I was 12 I started doing panto and musical theatre and all types of dancing.
