Plenty to interest dealers at Cork Fair

WITH everything from old Cork silver, antique furniture and jewellery to antiquarian books, the Cork National Antique Fair at Moran’s Silver Springs Hotel this weekend will offer much of interest to all collectors.

More than 80 dealers from around the country and beyond will be present, including various members of the Irish Antique Dealers’ Association.

Among them are Weldon’s of Dublin, who will show a number of rare Cork silver pieces, Vanessa Parker Rare Books from Mayo with a selection of Irish books, illustrated books and vintage children's literature; poetry, cookery and gardening books and George Moore from London with Clarice Cliff and Moorcroft pottery pieces.

There is contemporary Irish art and furniture from dealers like Treasure Irish Art, Athlone; Bridgen Antiques, Belfast; Donegal Antiques; Edward Guiney; Moycullen Antiques and William Hartnett.

Opening times are from 11 am to 6 pm today and tomorrow.
