* Born in Lima, Peru to Danish parents, Anna Nielsen grew up in Denmark and also in Ireland. She started a small craft company in November 1994, making a range of prints and cards from her drawings. “What I draw is life. My craft is first and foremost illustrative story-telling, inspired by my family,” says the artist. “These are black and white pen and ink drawings with words attached. Each original print is drawn by hand and takes about six weeks to complete.” She recently won the Irish Book of the Year Award for her design contribution, the cover and illustrations, of Filíocht Ghrá na Gaeilge, which was published by Cois Life. Check www.giveirishcraft.com for a list of high street retailers that stock this print, €55. www.annanielsen.com/

The best-selling Tisty Tosty bath bomb for a romantic treat and the new sweet-scented, luxurious massage bar, Close To You, all wrapped up in colourful paper. What more could you want for Valentine’s Day? A partner, I suppose.
