But a new range of baby clothes, designed by an Irish mum, offers a solution. Childrenswear designer Emily Godson, came up with the CoziDry concept as each of her children had drooled incessantly. The range of vests, bibs, and babygros features a lightweight liner, using the latest nano-fabric technology, natural in origin, hypo-allergenic and anti-bacterial. CoziDry products range in price from €18 to €27 and are available at www.cozidry.com. A portion of net profits will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
An estimated 21.7% of Ireland’s population currently smokes, with 59% of smokers wishing they could quit. Last week, more than 2,500 people pledged to quit smoking as part of the Boots Stop for Good service and RT…’s Operation Transformation. Galway-woman Christina Hartnett Dalton, a participant on the show who has pledged to quit using the Boots programme, said: “I have smoked for 25 years and have tried to quit before, but this time I am committed to stopping for good… I have two children and what is most important for me is that I set a good example for them and that I can be as healthy as possible.” Stop for Good is a free one-to-one service, delivered by trained advisors. The programme takes 12 weeks to complete and includes carbon monoxide testing and regular check-ins. Visit boots.ie/stopfor-good to find out more.
