Fancy footwork is afoot with Darcy's new dance festival
“For years, I’ve been playing swing jazz, soul and Motown, a bit of rockabilly, and what people call roots or heritage music,” says Darcy. “I’ve been asked to play at festivals. I realised that some of my friends go to camps overseas for anything from two to three days to a week, where they do nothing but dance.
“The most famous swing-dance camp is in a place called Herrang, in Sweden. It runs for five weeks. Thousands of people from all over go to it.”
