FED-UP with seeing the modern obsession with celebrities, Los Angeles-based artist Danny Evans decided to do something radical.

As a reaction to over-retouched photos of celebrities that are everywhere, he started the “Celebrity Make Under” project back in 2006.

Most photographers use the computer programme Photoshop to ‘touch up’ celebrities, and enhance them. In fact, many famous names have a team of photoshop experts at the ready, to work on any publicity shots being released to the often-unsuspecting public, to make sure they are looking as perfect as possible before the image is zapped into newsroom emails around the world.
