FED-UP with seeing the modern obsession with celebrities, Los Angeles-based artist Danny Evans decided to do something radical.

As a reaction to over-retouched photos of celebrities that are everywhere, he started the ā€œCelebrity Make Underā€ project back in 2006.

Most photographers use the computer programme Photoshop to ā€˜touch up’ celebrities, and enhance them. In fact, many famous names have a team of photoshop experts at the ready, to work on any publicity shots being released to the often-unsuspecting public, to make sure they are looking as perfect as possible before the image is zapped into newsroom emails around the world.
