So when she experienced bad pain and bleeding five weeks into her pregnancy with Roan, now 10, and was threatened with miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, it seemed to justify all her fears.

“All through the pregnancy, I was very nervous and worried. It was treated as an at-risk pregnancy, which meant constant scans to check the baby was still there. I worried: was I going to have the baby? Would it be ok? How would I cope with the pain of birth?”
