Heart Children Ireland and Chill Insurance have combined to produce a calendar to raise funds for children with congenital heart defects, and for their families (CHD).
Founded in 1990, by a small group of parents who met in Our Lady’s Hospital Crumlin, the charity provides practical support for families affected by CHD, as well as raising funds for medical equipment. All the children featured in the calendar have CHD, and have been photographed in picturesque settings. It was shot and compiled at no cost to the charity, through voluntary work and donations. Funds raised go towards family support services and the new cardiac unit in Crumlin. Calendars cost €10 and can be bought in Health Express pharmacies, and online at www.heartchildren.ie
