Slane to rock with antiques sale

The auction is taking place over two days this year, on tomorrow and Monday Oct 14, and viewing continues from 11am to 5pm today.
Early indications are that there is a lot of interest on the internet and that the strongest lots, such as a rare pair of Irish 18th century side tables (€150,000-€200,000) and an artwork by William Ashford (€70,000-100,000), have attracted huge attention. The silver has a larger display space below stairs in the castle this year. This will be a competitive sale as it has been carefully put together and there is much to interest both trade and private buyers.
