Viewing gets underway in Castlecomer tomorrow (Oct 6) for the Chatsworth fine art and antique sale by Fonsie Mealy auctioneers on Tuesday (Oct 8) at 10am.

Among nearly 900 lots you will find everything from a tiger skin to a Dublin-made Victorian horse coach. There are historic paintings, antique furniture, mirrors, porcelain, silver and much to tempt all collectors.

Rarities include an Italian mosaic micro picture, Pliny’s Doves (€3,000-€4,000) and an early 18th century Continental School painting of King William and General Schomberg at Carrickfergus (€4,000-€6,000). Viewing is from noon to 5.30pm tomorrow and from 10.30 to 5.30pm on Monday.
