Online and in the shops: Breastfeeding
The Quintessence Breastfeeding Challenge is a worldwide initiative aiming to highlight the importance of breastfeeding and breastfeeding support. At 11am tomorrow, breastfeeding mothers will gather around the country to nurse simultaneously.
See www.friendsofbreastfeeding.ie for full details. Further information on National Breastfeeding Week (Oct 1 to 7) is available on www.breastfeeding.ie.
Beautiful Bumps in Carrolls Quay, Cork, has an extensive range of nursing and maternity wear, including Boob, Queen Mum, 9fashion, and Mamalicious. To mark National Breastfeeding Week, there will be 20% off all nursing wear in store and online tomorrow, including the Anita range of lingerie. These nursing bras are made of comfortable breathable fabrics, with a concealing foam cup and soft cotton lining, so nursing pads do not show through. Anita nursing bras are available in a variety of styles and sizes, with matching briefs and cost €45. Also available are three sets of Boob Warm/Cool Relief pads (RRP €21). Made in organic cotton and filled with natural flax seed, these pads can be place inside the bra to cool or warm tender breasts as needed; www.beautifulbumps.ie.
