What's written in the stars for the future king?
The new prince refused to appear until near the Fire Sign of Leo, the sign of a natural king, says Margaret Neylon
THERE’S nothing new about drawing up a chart for a new birth, especially when the newcomer is destined for great things.
Four hundred years ago the famous occultist John Dee was Queen Elizabeth I’s astrologer, and she was one of the most influential monarchs, whose reign began one of the greatest eras of exploration and expansion, resulting in the British Empire. It would be interesting to know just how much influence her astrologer’s predictions had on her reign.
According to the media, Kate Middleton was due to give birth on or around July 13 but, as many a mother will know, the baby seems to have made up his own mind on his birth date. George refused to appear until he was closer to the Fire Sign of Leo, the sign of a natural king.
He was, in fact, born on what is known as ‘the cusp’ of two signs: he is a Cancer Sun but very close to being The Sun sign and, with the mixture of watery, sensitive Cancer along with fiery, sociable Leo, he will need to learn to walk something of a tightrope in order to fulfil his national role while also having a life of his own.
With Mercury, Mars and Jupiter also in the Water sign of Cancer, he will no doubt be sensitive to others and genuinely care about ‘the greater good’. His Ascendant is also a Water Sign, in this case Scorpio, so no doubt, like Diana, his late grandmother, he will long for time and space to himself.
Interestingly, Diana was also a Cancer Sun sign, someone who displayed maternal concern for others, while also having difficulties coping with criticism and lack of privacy.
The Moon sign is what motivates us beneath the surface and, in the prince’s case, his Moon is in the steady but somewhat conservative sign of Capricorn. This Earth Sign symbolises man-made structures such as religions and social hierarchies, so George will most likely fulfil the pomp and ceremony of his birthright while preferring to lock himself away with family and friends and simply chill out.
Another Earth Sign in his chart is his Ascendant Virgo. The influence of this sign should help make him a level-headed communicator when fulfilling his role in the public eye, while needing to keep his own sense of self.
With so much Cancer in his chart, the sign which is governed by the Moon, he may be extra sensitive at times of the Full Moon.
An overall look at his chart shows a promising mixture of both his parents and his grandparents: The respectful, loving and charming William and Kate, the humanitarian Diana and the planet-nurturing Charles.
The most important years of his early life should be when he is four years old (July 2017 to July 2018), then when he is aged 22 (from July 2035) and another pivotal year will be when he is 31 (from July 2044). Perhaps he will don the mantle of the king at this date?
