Around 200 lots, including two sets of Cork 11-bar chairs, will come under the hammer at Lynes and Lynes, in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork, next Saturday (Jul 13), at 11am. Each set of chairs is estimated at €2,000-3,000.

Antique furniture on offer includes a Cork, Regency sofa table (800-1,200), an Irish, Georgian long-case clock (200-300), a Georgian sideboard (1,000-1,500), and a mid-19th century campaign chaise longue, by Ross and Co., Ellis Quay, Dublin (€1,000-€1,500).

Collectibles include a 19th century, Swiss music box with eight tunes (€700-1,000), three rocking chairs, two Georgian limestone troughs and a selection of porcelain.

There are settees and easy chairs and books, including a run of the Cork Historical and Archaeological Society Journals and Grove-White notes on North Cork, 1892-1960 (€300-€500), double-sided posters from Cork Opera House, 1902; Burke’s Landed Gentry of Ireland, 1958, and Antiquities of Ireland, 1790, by Edward Ledwich.

Viewing is from 10am to 8pm next Thursday and Friday, and on this day week.
