Web watch: Charlotte Hardy’s paintings

1. Dear Heart: Blogs can be such happy, inviting places — a snug little community of shared interests.

Web watch: Charlotte Hardy’s paintings

Jenn Lore fosters such a blog: “Nothing could make me happier than to hear from you,” says she.

Aww, thanks, Jenn. Ms Lore started her lovely blog back in 2009 and she says it ended up becoming an extension of herself.

So you can expect much more than just interiors on this one.

Personal stuff like, for example, the wax seal on her wedding invitations (lots of wedding-related stuff, be warned) sit alongside images of Charlotte Hardy’s paintings of flowers, boutiques and interiors.

2. Paris Hotel Boutique:Gent’s Quarters. Hotel Silver. Lobby. New Arrivals.

A shiver of anticipation, I admit, when I happened on this site.

And it just keeps getting better.

Before Lynn Goldfinger-Abram started up this online lark, she was a personal assistant to the late blues musician.

John Lee Hooker. Excited face. She’s got Goldfinger in her name and hung around with legends.

Her site is just as cool with listings like an early 20th century shaving mirror, or my personal favourite: ‘Rare cobalt blue porcelain teapot in a silver frame. No chips or cracks. Lovely and rare piece’.
