Auction ready to rock for pop memorabilia
The sale of Rock and Pop Memorabilia at Whyte’s at the RDS Dublin on Sunday week (Mar 24) is sure to bring new collectors to Ireland’s salesrooms. It features lots related to celebrities from Michael Jackson and Marilyn Monroe to Elvis Presley and Rory Gallagher.
There are recordings, autographs, photographs, tickets, passes and scarce material relating to the music scene at home and abroad.
With everyone from The Beatles, Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, Bob Dylan, Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly, Crosby, Stills and Nash — to Irish greats from The Corrs, Christy Moore, Clannad, Thin Lizzy and U2 not to mention Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, The Kinks and Leonard Cohen there is something to suit all tastes.
Estimates are reasonable and collectors should have no difficulty in bagging a favorite memento.
Viewing at the RDS gets underway next Friday from 1pm to 9pm.
Viewing is from 11am to 7pm on this day week and from 10am to 1pm on the day of the auction, which starts at 2pm on Mar 24.
