Wish List: Japanese Origami paper clock

This week, she finds a rockin’ little chair and something to mix it up in the kitchen

* Want to get a real retro look? Check out this salvaged Czechoslovakian wall mounted machinist’s light. It retains the original surface finish with painted steel arms, shade and base with fantastic surface patinas emphasising the age of the products, circa 1950. Don’t worry about it actually working, it comes tested and rewired with new small bayonet (B15) lamp holders. €438 from www.skinflint.co.uk

* How cute is this rocking chair? Imagine your little one chilling out on this beauty. Made entirely from beech, the solid wood Toddle Rocker is available in a white or natural varnish finish. The Toddle Rocker can be personalised with the child’s name for a special gift. Available from the design basket for €110, www.thedesignbasket.com

* Watch time go by with this beautiful Japanese Origami paper clock. Each clock is individually laser cut from 5mm Japanese plywood. Designed for nurseries, babies will love to watch the pendulum swing back and forth. Available in 4 colours online for €43 from The Modern Baby, www.themodernbaby.co.uk.

* Inspired by a love of old vintage tea cups, this Cup o’ Tea tea towel is made with eco-friendly dyes and printed onto a linen cotton mix which makes for easy drying. A great gift, or something to liven up your kitchen, it’s even got a cute corner hook for easy hanging. It is designed by Handmade By Me, from The Design Basket, €15.50.

* For all cooking enthusiasts, the Kenwood KMX80 500 Watt Kmix Stand Mixer, is quite nifty looking. Available from Littlewoods Ireland, €549.

* I love the colours in these bowls by Andrew Ludick. Created in pinched white earthenware and decorated with coloured slips, the medium sized one is €70. Andrew shares his studio with fellow potter and wife Rosemarie Durr on the Kilkenny craft trail. For more details click on www.iamofireland.ie.

* What a fabulous colour for spring. Keep an eye out for Carolyn Donnelly’s eclectic ceramic bottle vase, €15, they should start making an appearance in Dunnes Stores in March.

* Orange is an easy way to inject on-trend colour into your interiors, and a floor lamp means you can move from room to room. The Main lamp by Bo Concept is €469.
