* Holy orders: A recent survey for TK Maxx found that over a third (35%) of Irish parents surveyed agreed that the most important thing about what a child wears on their Communion day is that they like it, followed closely by value for money (31%) and over 40% do not plan to spend any more than €100.

* Junior jumble: The Baby Market returns to Cork on Sunday, January 27 offering more quality pre-loved baby goods for a fraction of the new price. Sellers can rent a stall to sell their own items for €25, or individual items can be dropped off and sold for a 25% commission. Local vendors can also book a stall for €25-€45.
