Web Watch: Cat Tunnel Sofa

This ‘country mouse turned city mouse’ who loves David Bowie and gin and tonic with lots and lots of lime has a great blog going on. I would recommend clicking on and getting involved in the Room Debate. She posts a picture of a room, then invites visitors to leave a comment with answers to these two questions: ‘One thing I like most about this room is…’ and ‘One thing I like least about this room is…’ Some of the comments are class. This virtual box file of is worth a rummage.

2. Flickr Archives

Flickr is most commonly used as a handy way to store photos, in that cloud place in the internet sky, but you should be aware there is so much more to it than that. There’s archives from Boston Public Library that is definitely worth clicking on to. There’s coloured prints of costumes and sets for the original (1912) production of Richard Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos. And there’s some nineteenth century laundry adverts that will make the feminist in you cringe. Big time.

3. Giz Mag

Does your feline friend need more from your seating arrangements? Fear not! The Cat Tunnel Sofa is here! It features a play tunnel that runs along the arm, back and side of the sofa. Cats can run through the tube, jump into the three different openings or cuddle up and sleep in a protected spot where they won’t be disturbed. This and many more fascinating designs and inventions are to be savoured on this website. The sheer amount of sections are mind boggling, starting with Aero Gizmo and ending with Wearable Electronics. Enjoy.
