TOYS SPURGE: Smyths is predicting that Monday next will be the biggest toy shopping day of the year as parents prepare early for Christmas.

The date is known as Cyber Monday and Smyths report a surge in shopping at Smyths.com as more parents buy online. In Ireland Santa brings an average of six toy presents, including stocking fillers and one main present.
