Boulder on a roll with Disney series

An upcoming show about a 9th grade ninja is the latest success for the Irish animation company, writes Padraic Killeen

IRISH animation company Boulder Media’s series The Amazing World of Gumball has been nominated for an Emmy award, US television’s ‘Oscar’. Boulder’s profile in the US has been enhanced by a new series, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, which was made in their Dublin studios.

Produced by Disney, the show is a collaboration with American company Titmouse Inc. While the scripts and creative design are undertaken in Los Angeles, the 52 episodes are animated by 78 staff in Dublin. The show is on Disney XD on Thursday.
