Web Watch: Artificial Moon light
This site’s motto is ‘Design will save the world’. Not if zombies take over, but if you’re into the whole green design concept this online guide boasts innovations and inspiration to build a cleaner, brighter, and better (zombie-free) future. There’s lots of sections — art, fashion, energy, transportation, but I focused on interiors and there are some interesting bits here. The artificial moon designed by Chinese artist Wang Yuyang is worth a look.
A super-sweet, all-American site about Mr and Mrs Bunch who blog about moving to Buffalo and doing up their house. They share their experiences and give tips and shopping and design advice. Under the DIY section the transformation of the nursery is very cool and they go into impressive detail. These people are into sharing. They even give Mrs. Bunches’ Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe under the Eats tab. Yum.
The Selby began in Jun 2008 as a website, where journalist Todd posted photo shoots he did of his friends in their homes. 100,000 unique visitors daily and what do you know, Todd’s doing ad campaigns for the likes of Habitat and IKEA. Just check out the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and The Selby to get an idea of what this guy does. It includes photos, illustrations and writing by The Selby on a train journey from Paris to Shanghai. Excellent.
