There’s also all you need to know about Cork Craft Month, which runs until September 9. This is the third month-long celebration of craft in Cork and events include a pop-up shop in Cornmarket Street, Cork Creates at The Old Mill in Kinsale, Meet the Maker days and much more.

Orange Design: Don’t worry, yes, it’s in Portuguese but Google kindly has a translate button so you can read all about its chosen design of the day — I think it’s worth clicking on to. It was the Typo collection the day I logged on and they are fabulous. The furniture is funky, bright and modern, made up of single structure sustainable designs, the table is made up of words that say ‘table’, the seats are created by the letters s-e-a-t, you get the drift. Fun.

Elle Decor: Very chic, very glamorous, very Elle. This site reeks of sophistication I half felt obliged to throw on some pearls and hide the laundry while I was browsing. It’s an accomplished site, everything from What the Pros know about — hey laundry — to gawking at Reese Witherspoon’s classic California ranch. And Justin Timberlake’s decorating tips include how to soften your table setting with different textiles. Not just the table top that’s gone soft, methinks.
