THE children will be off school for July and August and if previous summer weather is anything to go by, we won’t be guaranteed lazy, hazy days in the garden or family picnics on the beach.

So, with two months to fill, many parents will want to entertain their energetic brood without breaking the bank, or, indeed, breaking into a sweat as they watch daddy’s flower beds being trampled during impromptu soccer matches and mum’s freshly painted living room being transformed into a pirate ship.
