Large two day sale

The 1,500 lot sale at the Auction Rooms, Sixmilebridge, Co Clare on Apr 16 and 17 offers everything from antique furniture to Chinese ceramics to contemporary Irish art.

The first 500 lots will be sold on Monday at 6.30pm while Tuesday’s fine art and antiques sale is at 10.30am and will offer a Victorian dining table, a three-door bookcase; an 18th century walnut bombe bureau; Edwardian display cabinets; a Georgian bureau bookcase; a chest on chest; a long-case clock; chairs; games; tables; mirrors; light fittings and a baby grand piano.

There is, as well, a set of 12-foot Victorian entrance gates, Irish and English silver, watercolours and oils and some jewellery.

Viewing is from 11am to 5pm today from 2pm to 5pm and tomorrow, from 11am to the start of the sale on Monday and from 9am to the start of the sale on Tuesday.

In Waterford, RJ Keighery will hold a house sale at Woodlock House, Portlaw, Co Waterford at 11am next Monday. The items on offer include a dining table which extends to 14 feet (€3,000-€5,000), a Victorian Irish side table with mirror back and the Power family crest (€5,000-€7,000) and a set of 10 mahogany dining chairs (€1,200-€1,500) among 500 lots. Viewing is from noon to 5pm today and tomorrow.
