Why celebrity mums are feeling the heat

EVERY edition of lifestyle and glamour magazines features celebrities who ‘glow’, ‘bloom’ or ‘blossom’ during pregnancy. And then the bump has only barely become a baby when the mum is ‘spotted out and about looking slim and trim’.

Without a hint of irony, one of these magazines actually wrote: “Since giving birth three weeks ago, Saturdays singer Una Healy has been keeping a low profile.”

But thankfully for gossip magazines Una left her lengthy three-week confinement and was pictured on March 28 in a mini dress — complete with her €700 Mamas & Papas Mylo pram — and very definitely not looking like she had given birth on March 13.
