A long way back

I WENT to a film premiere last year.

It was in the garden of a large house, on the eastern outskirts of Nottingham, that provides supported accommodation for older homeless men.

There was quite a crowd when I got there; a mixture of local artists and film-makers, professionals from the worlds of care and housing support, and men living in the house.
