Today Stephen Moloney takes us through what he is wearing

An Obey Propaganda leather jacket, a funnel-neck tee and navy chinos from Topman, All Saints boots, American Apparel socks, a vintage bag and my dad’s belt.

How much did it cost?

I paid €120 for the jacket, €30 for the tee, €40 for the chinos, €100 for the boots, €14 for the socks, €20 for the bag and the belt was free. Altogether, that’s €324.

What do you love most about it?

I love the neutral palette which doesn’t require colour-blocking or matching. It’s functional too — really warm and lots of storage space; these socks are mad soft, as well.

Who is your fashion icon?

Not sure about idolising the well-dressed but folks I’ve snapped around Dublin — Joshua Kissi and & Travis Gumbs from Street Etiquette and those behind Mykromag — are all fascinating.

Which designers do you admire?

Chris Bailey seems unstoppable. William Tempest is one to watch. Sarah Burton at McQueen is inspiring having taken the reigns with such vigour, maintaining the established aesthetic whilst adding her own flourish.

What is the last thing you bought?

A quick-fix (and surprisingly soft) white cotton tee in Dunnes after dropping my lunch on the one I was wearing the other week. Don’t tell anybody, though.

What was your biggest splurge?

Probably my tux for the Trinity Ball. I refused the ill-fitting rental route so got it from Topman, pairing with a gingham shirt and oversized velvet bow-tie.

What is your best bargain buy?

Either a shearling aviator jacket for €20 from Freedom Vintage or a hold-all for €20 Fanci-Schmancy Vintage.

here do you like to shop?

There are some real charity/vintage gems around Dublin right now that I’ve been very lucky with. Otherwise, American Apparel (I don’t buy the negative press) and Topman would be my two high-street staples.

What has been your biggest fashion faux pas?

My ‘Aberzombie’ phase. I cringe.
