Today, DJ and Fade Street star, Cici Cavanagh takes us through what she’s wearing

What do you love most about it?

It’s understated in colour, yet the collaboration of pieces is quite unique looking. I tend to only wear black or muted tones, so I like to have fun with shapes and textures instead.

Who is your fashion icon?

I don’t have an exact fashion icon as such. I do like Alice Dellal’s style, although I’m not sure I could pull it off myself.

Which designers do you admire?

Preen are one of my all time favourite designers. They are original yet quirky with a direct injection of rock ‘n’ roll. I have about six of their pieces and was totally star struck when I met them at their New York Fashion Week collection launch party in 2009.

What is the last thing you bought?

I was in London for the Frieze Art Fair recently and did some damage in the Topshop on Oxford Street; I had to be dragged out of the shop.

What was your biggest splurge?

A pair of black suede Christian Louboutin ankle boots with gold zips or my 40inch Louis Vuitton Speedy, both which I view as classic investment pieces.

What is your best bargain buy?

A pair of amazing lace up chunky heeled platform boots by Topshop Boutique reduced from €230 to €75. There was only one pair as they were an online return. Serious jackpot.

Where do you like to shop?

For basics like leggings, bodies and cotton pieces I like American Apparel; Penneys for bits and bobs; and All Saints and Topshop on pay days.

What has been your biggest fashion faux pas?

Every single day from the year 2003 up to 2006.
