Undead go for a walk
Based on a comic book series of the same name, it follows a group of people trying to survive in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse in America. Everywhere they go seems to have been overtaken by the undead, and the survivors even encounter loved ones who have joined the shuffling, flesh-munching hordes. Think 28 Days Later with a large dollop of The Road.
Other than the basic plot of The Walking Dead, the first thing you should know about the six-part show is that it is not for the faint-hearted. This isn’t the cartoon violence of Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Instead you’ll be treated to the sight of these ghoulish creatures happily munching on a human corpse, or child zombies being shot to render them harmless.
