Memories are made of this
IN its long and proud history the Irish Examiner has been blessed with an abundance of very talented people. During its formative years these would have consisted of reporters, writers, sub-editors, production staff and printers, and a little later photographers. People with the lifeblood of the newspaper in their veins.
Always willing to embrace the latest technology, a characteristic that still prevails today, the then Cork Examiner employed its first full-time photographer just over 10 years after George Eastman’s Kodak camera brought photography within the reach of everybody.
