Watch: Cork girls chop hair to raise funds after being inspired by cousin Callum

Niamh Cogan, Orla Noonan, Áine-May Noonan, Siobhan O'Brien, and Callum McCarthy after they got their hair chopped off at Chocolate in Carrigaline in aid of Little Princess Trust and Aoife's Clown Doctors.

When Cork boy, Callum McCarthy, was diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of four, his young cousins very quickly became aware of the impact a serious illness can have.

Though she was only five years old at the time, Carrigaline girl, Áine May Allan, decided that she wanted to donate her hair to make real hair wigs for children and teenagers who have lost their hair through cancer treatment. Her cousins, Orla Noonan, 9, and Niamh Cogan, 24, were keen to help out too so they and their aunt, Siobhån O'Brien, all pledged to grow their hair as long as possible for the big chop.
