Imagine you have been tasked with trying to knock tea and coffee off the hot beverage pedestal. A position they have both held for well over two centuries. For God’s sake, we have called parts of the day after them - “tea-time” and “coffee mornings”.

You are handed a packet of “rooibos” tea. You know the drill, you start writing: “A certain magic happens when you take a sip of rooibos tea. It’s as if the warmth of the South African sun has been captured in those reddish-brown leaves, ready to transport you to a place where the air is clear, the sky is wide, and time slows down just enough for you to appreciate the finer things in life.”
