It is well-known The Menu is overly partial to merriment and high-jinks, particularly when good food is also near to hand and so will be heading to Dromquinna Manor (March 9) for A Taste of Kenmare, a fundraiser for the Kenmare Food Carnival later in the year. The Menu endured a most splendid time at last year’s KFC and, suitably primed after a champagne reception, should be in magnificent fettle for the four-courser featuring finest local fare. And if the stars are suitably aligned, he may even essay a brief turn on the dance floor as there is also a live band and disco, followed by even more food at a late-night BBQ, finishing up with a turn around the old Joanna — can you even imagine what reserves of stamina a body requires when the carnival itself rolls around?
