Farmers across Munster are once again being encouraged to ‘Wrap it Pink’ this silage season.
As part of its long-standing partnership with the Irish Cancer Society, Dairygold is now selling pink bale wrap for its 12th year.
The Dairygold ‘Wrap it Pink’ campaign continues to support breast cancer research and vital support services, with a donation made for every roll of pink bale wrap purchased through Dairygold’s network of 26 Co-Op Superstores.
Dairygold Chairperson Pat Clancy said every pink bale wrapped helps raise awareness and vital funds for a cause that touches so many families across Ireland.
“At Dairygold, we are proud of our long-standing partnership with the Irish Cancer Society and the impact that ‘Wrap it Pink’ continues to deliver.
"This campaign is a simple but powerful way for Dairygold members to show their support. I would encourage farmers to once again wrap it pink this season and be part of this important initiative,” he said.
Strong early support is already visible on farms, including Bill and Liam Foley from Windgap, Youghal, East Cork, who wrapped in pink to launch the campaign.

Corporate partnerships manager of the Irish Cancer Society, Claire Bowman, said: "The Irish Cancer Society is hugely grateful to Dairygold for once again championing the Wrap It Pink initiative in support of breast cancer awareness and free services.
"Each year, this partnership helps us fund life-saving breast cancer research, provide free care and information, and ensure that no one in Ireland faces a breast cancer diagnosis alone. Dairygold’s continued commitment reflects the very best of community spirit and generosity.”
Continuing, Ms Bowman said: “We encourage their customers nationwide to choose the special pink-wrapped Dairygold products again this year. Every purchase directly supports people affected by breast cancer and brings us one step closer to a future where nobody dies from breast cancer."
Pink wrap is available to purchase at Dairygold Co-Op Superstores, where customers can shop in-store, online or through click and collect.
