Investigation underway after woman and child discovered dead in Tipperary

Gardaí are examining the circumstances surrounding the deaths of two people discovered at a home on Friday afternoon

A woman and a child have been found dead at a home in Co Tipperary.

Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene after the bodies were discovered at a family home in the town of Carrick-on-Suir on Friday afternoon.

It is understood the deceased were a mother and daughter.

Gardaí are investigating the deaths.

It is not yet known whether the deaths resulted from a medical emergency or whether foul play was involved.
